The Challenge
Lululemon sought to reimagine their retail experience to better reflect their brand ethos of mindful movement and athletic wellness. The new store concept needed to create a seamless connection between the physical retail space and the yoga/fitness lifestyle their customers embrace.
Beyond static visuals, the client required a motion walkthrough to present the design to their global retail team, allowing stakeholders across multiple regions to experience the space virtually before committing to the build.
The Solution
We developed a comprehensive visualization package that captured the essence of the Lululemon brand. Our approach included:
- Photorealistic renders showcasing natural materials and calming color palettes
- Animated motion walkthrough guiding viewers through the customer journey
- Detailed product display visualizations highlighting apparel presentation
- Lighting studies emphasizing the warm, inviting atmosphere
The motion component allowed viewers to experience the flow between zones-from activewear displays to community gathering spaces-creating an emotional connection to the design.
The Results
The visualization package helped Lululemon's leadership align on the retail concept direction within a single review cycle, critical for a brand that operates across multiple markets. The motion walkthrough proved especially valuable for international teams who couldn't visit the prototype location in person, effectively replacing a round of in-person reviews. The concept was approved for rollout with minimal design revisions, and the renders became the reference standard for ensuring brand consistency across subsequent store locations.
